Deadliest Warrior Quickies.

Hey, just felt like trying out my new system with two matches that are very intriguing to me.

• Roman Legionaries versus Zulu Warriors.
  -This match appeals to me because both warrior-cultures followed the same line of thinking:  highly-mobile, professional killers organized into tight-knit units.  Both of them used efficient weapons, both at distance and in melee, and relied on a massive shield to protect them.  However, they diverged in defenses and the specific types of weapons they used, which is where this match will be interesting.
• Celtic Warriors versus Iroquois Warriors.
  -This match interests me because the warriors fight very differently, but are very similar culturally.  The Celts were a constantly-bickering population of war-mongers; the Iroquois were a united nation that was the result of a constantly-bickering population of war-mongers.  It'll be great to see how that transitions to their showings in my ratings later on.

So yeah, consider this a teaser for more to come.  This is unrelated to the Redux series, I just want to stretch my creative muscles, so to speak.  Stay tuned!

Deadliest Warrior Season III Suggestions

I'm well aware that DW S3 is already underway when speaking of production, but I felt like tossing my own suggestions out into the public to, if nothing else, get a decent conversation going.


So far as I'm aware, there's going to be ten Episodes to this Season, and I'm hoping that they'll be split evenly for five Ancient and five Modern matches.  I'm also aware of the supposed "confirmed" matches, which I won't recount here in case that you want to find them out for yourself (or because I think that they're poor matches... Schmuck Bait).


Now that I've got all of that out of the way, here's my suggestions for a Season III.


Ancient Warrior Matches
-Iroquois Warrior versus English Longbowman.
-Hannibal Barca versus Alaric the Bold.
-Inca Warrior versus Masai Warrior.
-Joan of Arc versus William of Normandy.
-Salah ah-Din versus Charles Martel.


Modern Warrior Matches
-Texan Rangers versus Canadian Royal Mounted Police.
-French Foreign Legion versus British Royal Gurkha Rifles.
-British Special Air Service (SAS) versus Joint Task Force 2 (JTF 2).
-Chinese Triads versus American Hell's Angels.
-Eliot Ness' Untouchables versus Heinrich Hemmler's Gestapo.
-I got thinking about other possible Modern Warrior suggestions, so I'll post them below this line in addition to those above it.
~American Secret Service Presidential Detail versus the Vatican Pontifical Swiss Guard.
~Theodore Roosevelt's Rough Riders versus Koos de la Rey's Boere Commandos.

Deadliest Warrior Redux.

 More than anything else, I'm doing this to get my creative juices flowing.

This is going to be me going through Seasons One and Two, and Three as more information is released,redoing the Ancient Warrior (and a few choice Modern) Episodes for each Season with my own weapons picksand grading scale.  Yes, this will be pretty in-depth.  Yes, I'm going to research each warrior-culture as well as I can.  Yes, it will be a lot of fun, and yes, I'm going to provide some new battles.

Hopefully I'll be giving some warriors a second chance and reinforce the success of others.  Here's therundown of what's going to be going down.
